Halloween (1978)
This movie scared the hell out of me back as a kid. I just bought it a few months ago, and I think Halloween II was scarier. Halloween is better in other aspects, but Halloween II is scarier.

Im not much of a slasher fan, but this was certaly the best Ive seen. Good movie, but being that I dont really care for the sub-genre it basically created [I know it wasnt the first, just the most influential], I wont call it "great"

I dont know really what anyone is gonna reply in this thread besides That was a good film"

I wanna, hopefully, start collecting the series. I have H20 and ressurection...
and I liked 'em. :D So hopefully I will start the collection soon. |
I recall some kind of drunken party where someone said, "I just watched 'Halloween' again and I thought it was really stylish but not very clever' and someone else screamed in agreement, 'NO! NO! Halloween is NOT a clever horror film!!!! Itttsh an IMPORTANT horrafilm!'" Neither party remembered the conversation the next day.

The second one is good, but not scarier. Its just more gory. Very good though.

i have to disagree. the original was the scariest imo, although the second one was still really good, especially for a sequel.
Just, the part in the 1st one at the climax, where laurie went into the house and saw all her friends, and michael was always standing right behind her, and you see his white face like that. The scariest scene though, was when michael was stalking the other babysitter. It seemed like everytime she moved, he was looking at her through a window, and i had almost forgotten about him being there when he sprung out and choked her to death. I just liked the part in the sequel when she found her friend with the knife through his eye, and michael put the needle through hers. |
