Best movie of 2006??

What is the most recent best horror movie that you seen in 2006 or late in 2005? I rented a few b-horror movies that were absolutely horrible (so bad that I had to turn it off after 10 mins). I will never do a blind rent again. I also saw Hostel, Final Destination 3, The Hills Have Eyes and Slither. My vote for best movie so far in 2006 has to be The Hills Have Eyes. I really enjoyed this movie as it had lot of suspense, good acting, plenty of gore, fantastic makeup. If you havent seen it, you should definitely!!

Posher778 04-03-2006 03:27 PM

Not sure. It's still early '06, so i'd have to think about it.

The_Return 04-03-2006 03:28 PM

I honestly dont think Ive seen a single horror film released this year...

Posher778 04-03-2006 03:30 PM

Best movie this year in all genre's is V for Vendetta though.

BH14 04-03-2006 03:39 PM

How about straight to video B-Horror movies? I've been striking out with those movies.... Anything good there?

PS.... Dont see "Fear of Clowns" (B-horror movie)!! Horrible and the acting is worst than porno acting. The makeup looks like it came from party city. And this movie had good reviews on the cover! what the hell!!

the hills have eyes

Abominus 04-04-2006 01:14 PM

The Hills Have Eyes, so far. However, I haven't made it to V for Vendetta or Slither yet.

gorefreak 04-04-2006 07:30 PM

They say "Slither" isn't a remake, but the premise reminds me so much of the plot from "Night Of The Creeps".

urgeok 04-05-2006 05:18 AM

v for vendetta - so far

Posher778 04-05-2006 05:30 AM

if the drivers are loaded properly, the camera should appear in explorer like another hard drive, then you just drag them over from the camera to the place of your choice on your harddrive

Posher778 04-05-2006 05:57 AM

Thanks! I got it.

I want Night of the Creeps on dvd so bad. that tagline, "the good news is your dates are here. the bad news is, they're dead", really sells it.

urgeok 04-05-2006 06:00 AM

no probs..

Posher778 04-05-2006 06:12 AM

Now.... How do i make them smaller?

urgeok 04-05-2006 10:27 AM

It came out in october '05 I think.

BH14 04-05-2006 01:23 PM

I was referring to the best horror movies of late 2005 until now. My vote still goes for "The Hills Have Eyes".

Sorry Urgeok....... but Angela is prettier.

iheartkubrick 04-05-2006 08:26 PM

There really aren't too many good horror movies out there nowadays, especially this year. It seems the new trend in "horror" is foreign independent slasher films. I don't know if this is 2005 or 2006, but I thought that "Creep" was the best slasher flick I saw recently. I saw the hills have eyes and while it was mildly entertaining, having seen the original ruined the new one for me, the original was WAYYYYY better.

You think you're better than everyone else, don't you? Voting for movies that aren't in the same category like it's no big deal...

Well let me tell you something, in time your beauty will fade. What are you gonna do then huh? huh? :D

edit: Late again because of HDC! arrrg I can't keep track of time. :(

SodaGirl 04-07-2006 08:42 PM

"Saw II" was my favorite of late 2005, and my favorite so far this year is "The Hills Have Eyes". I was very impressed. Number 2 goes to Final Destination 3.

I am waiting for the Hostel & Wolf Creek DVDs and the theatrical release of Hard Candy. I expect to like them all.

However, I doubt I will like any of those 3 over Saw II & Hills.

newb 04-07-2006 08:44 PM

I don't think "the best movie" of 2006 has even been released yet.

Firemedic 04-10-2006 03:38 PM

Hills Have Eyes is the best so far, but the year is still young

BH14 06-23-2006 03:22 PM

We are more than half way through the year... The Hills Have Eyes is still the best movie that I seen so far this year. Just watched it again last night. I don't think this movie has been topped yet but I havent seen Omen remake or See No Evil.

joshaube 06-25-2006 03:32 PM

Okay, so far I would go for a joint... The Hills Have Eyes and V for Vandetta.

I'm holding out for Snakes on a Plane (;p), and The Wicker Man looks half-decent.

_____V_____ 06-27-2006 02:02 AM

V for Vendetta so far, but there's still 6 months left.

StanTheMan 07-04-2006 09:30 AM

Havn't seen any good horrors this year either.
I also liked Creep last year. Very gritty.

CHRIS24 07-04-2006 10:51 AM

the hills have eyes by far one of the goriest and great horror movies of the year even though its a remake. I can dare say one of the best horror films in years.

Korpse 07-09-2006 11:52 AM

V For Vendetta
Lucky Number Slevin
The Hills Have Eyes

crazy raplh 07-09-2006 07:21 PM

it is hard we should be doing this thread in december.???????????????????

mufc_lad 07-10-2006 11:04 PM

I would hope the best horror movie 2006 would be SAW III which probably still will be rubbish no matter what i hope :(
