Not another one....I didn't like the first 4.

alkytrio666 08-16-2006 04:42 PM

Alien- The second best sci-fi horror movie ever

Aliens- An extraordinary sequel

Alien 3- Entertaining. A little far-fetched, but entertaining.

Alien Ressurection- Very bizzare. Entertaining, but not even close to the first three.

I would happily welcome a fifth.

newb 08-16-2006 04:55 PM

Why not....bring it on.

The Mothman 08-16-2006 04:59 PM

just found out about Evil Dead 4, which is even more exciting, check the upcoming horror section.

Roderick Usher 08-16-2006 05:12 PM

Anything to pry the series away from the AVP horseshit.

Cameron writing? I'm in. Just no Ripley, please? She's dead already, let her rest.

Story of Newt?

PR3SSUR3 08-16-2006 06:40 PM

Newt is also long dead, and I don't think there is anything exciting to report in her few short years before she was discovered by Ripley.

Unless you're talking about the time between this and the alien assault on the colony, but I think the saga needs to progress as it has done so boldy with each film.

ENTITY2000 08-16-2006 07:01 PM

that's so cool can't wait till it comes out!:D

Elvis_Christ 08-16-2006 10:46 PM

Fuck I'll go check it out. I've liked the series so far. Doubt the first two movies will ever be topped but whatever it'll be better than going to a Ron Howard turdfest.

Phalanx 08-16-2006 11:13 PM

I like that Cameron is behind it, Aliens was my favourite thus far.
I'd love to see some of the book series on film too...but hey, another Cameron Alien/s should cut it.

PR3SSUR3 08-17-2006 04:01 AM

The Cameron rumour is years old I'm afraid, and the release of AVP put paid to any intentions he may of had to write and direct (and put Arnold Schwarzenegger in it).

Dante'sInferno 08-17-2006 04:54 PM

Aliens<Predator

friday13thfan 08-17-2006 05:10 PM

The only one I liked was the original but Ill go see this one just because.

I got one question. what the hell is so funny about the "they mostly come out at night, mostly" line? i never seemed to catch on.

I never thought it was that funny, I didn't even like it when South Park did it... and I'll laugh at anything that show does.

crippler666 08-17-2006 07:48 PM

As long as they give up on an initial idea which was to have Aliens talking in english.... I'm all for it.... BTW has anyone watched Alien 3: Directors Cut.... So much better....

I disagree, the original cut is much better IMO. Same goes for Aliens.

The extra footage is mostly unnessecary and pointless, really makes the films start to dredge on.

It's mostly poking fun.
Mostly.

And I agree, I didn't care for the extra footage in the Aliens: Director's Cut. It made the movie less tense, and took away from the end result.

I liked it, but then again i was borderline obsessive with the movie for a while when i was a kid... then i crossed the border...

The most recent count, i believe i have seen Aliens over 200 times. And the standoff in the medical lab still gives me goosebumps. :)

south park did do some clever alien rip offs though. like the alien ressurection rip off in the towely episode, with all the towely clones.

Vodstok 08-18-2006 11:01 AM

They need to can ripley...

i love Ripley. I love Sigourney Weaver.

But Ressurection was just not part of the series.... Ripley is dead.

Do people remember with their DNA? NO!

Joss Whedon is a tool. he wrote the damn thing then shit on the director for making it. Dick.
