i think they got some good films in it, but i really think that master pieces lit IT or Hellraiser and so on are missing.

Jaws and Candyman I can understand; The Omen , o.k. BUT 28 days later and The Exorcist, Do Not Think So!!

gremlins ?

Nikkif8 10-20-2006 10:55 AM

I agree with some. The Exorcist WAS very scarey for the time it came out. I personally don't think it is scarey at all. But back then it definately was. Gremlins not scarey. Jaws I don't think is scarey either. Where the hell is TCM or Saw? I think those are pretty scarey. I love Blair Witch even tho most people think it's gay. The Lost Boys wasn't in there either

good to see they went with the real authorities on horror here: NFL running back Shaun Alexander and "Brandy." plus a bunch of other yahoos whom I have no interest in their opinion whatsoever.

postscript: I just noticed that a number of these jackasses can't even remember the name of the movie they are recommending and some of them even say things like, "this is the reason I don't watch anything scary."

let me repeat that:

"this is the reason I don't watch anything scary."

well.... there ya go.

when i was a little kid it scared me ..

i saw it when it was in the theatre - and i was a bit young for it i think..
i would have been 7 .. my uncle took me..

the dead spacemen with the cracked lifepod scared me ..., the brain operation scars, talking fucking monkey overlords, the slave gathering..

its goofy now but back in the day it was pretty messed up.

The idea is scary I admit...but not the movie. The ending did manage to raise hairs at the back of the neck though.

***POSSIBLE SPOILER***

"Oh shit! He was in Earth after all!!!"

Exorcist scared the shit out of me the first time i saw it (i was a kid)

Nikkif8 10-20-2006 12:05 PM

I fell asleep the first time I tried to watch it I was in my teens I think, then when the uncut version came out I watched the whole thing, I just thought it ws funny, but a good movie for it's time nonetheless. Also poor Linda Blair was messed up for a long time from doing that movie as a young child. My friends daughter is a lil devil and I call her Linda Blair lol she gets so mad, she is only 4. Some day she will know why.

Damn, how many times can they cram "this movie scared the shit out of me" in an article??

I think the all time scariest movie would have to be "The Last House on the Left" That would have to be the more REAL and closer to home type deal. I was TOO young when I first seen that movie and got yelled at by my parents I was only 6, let me tell you I was scared shitless (that was also the first horror film) I ever seen.

orangestar 10-20-2006 01:47 PM

That is a list of scary movies for sure, but It's not a list of the 30 scariest movies of all time.

possession movies have never scared me cos it just happens, it's not like you can see it coming, but seeing someone spewing the green stuff at people always made me gag, it was all i could do not to throw up in the theatre, LOL, never stopped me watching 'em tho

stinking_dylan 10-21-2006 05:28 AM

Different things scare different people. As others said, Exorcist never scared me, not even when it first came out. Blair witch and grudge made me shat though.

Nice spam by the way
