Supposably they're fantastic.
PM The_Return about them. |
if it's cheap enough - sure its worth it.
the word 'classic' is a bit suspect re. most of the titles though. |
I've got it and it is totally worth it.
he transfers aren't great, but the sheer volume of good films (and quite a few memorably terrible ones) makes this a great buy. |
looks like a partial list of MST3K movies :)
|
I own it. Def. worth it.
@Vodstok MST3K...What's that? |
I read a couple reviews (probably on Amazon.com) that said that the transfers were terrible. That was what has kept me away from it so far.

I ordered and its on its way. I never gave it a thought when I seen them all over ebay until one day I was curious and looked at the list of movies. I ordered it on the spot. Hope its good but can't really complain for 17.95
|
Did you get it yet, and if so, what is the picture quality like?
|
Most of the films are fine quality, for both picture and sound. A few are a bit messy, but the majority are great.
The films themselves are well worth the money aswell. There is definatly a few that are really, really bad, the the good movies more than make up for it. Besides, you can get it for less than $20...thats 50 movies for the same price as one new release. Cant beat it. |
I got it for five. I would, however agree about the occasional lapses in picture quality. Still. about two thirds of the fifty are good stuff, especially the John Barrymore Jekyll and Hyde.
|
i have it. it has like, 6 good films and the rest put me to sleep..from what i remember pretty awful picture transfer. good deal for $19 though.
|
nevermind i had gotten mixed up with 50 Chilling Classics.

I bought it a few days ago because of N.O.T.L.D. and Maniac (thought it had some sort of influence on the more recent 1980 film Maniac). So far those are the only two I've seen on it. Maniac was boring as hell, but of course N.O.T.L.D. is a very strong movie.

I Bury the Living is cool and The Crawling Eye, while a bit slow and silly, has a wonderfully strange creature design. Really goofy and worth watching.
