Anyone here like Slipknot? New album this spring.

Hm. Can't say I'm a big fan, but I think they're alright. Just alright. Yeah!

Well thats kool... what is your favorite band then?

i cant really get into gimmick bands like slipnot etc. And the 10 person percussion just doesnt do much for me:rolleyes:

rrrrr....slipknot? i dont mind it as long as im not anywhere near a place where it might be played.

My favorite bands are The Misfits, Gods among men, in my opinion. Well, at least the Danzig era they were...

Anywho, I dig The Nekromantix, AFI, Blitzkid, Calabrese, Nim Vind, The American Plague, Mister Monster and a billion others...yeah!

I hate slipknot the only good song they have is wait and bleed imo, But hey:) don't feel bad if no one here likes them because I started a thread about Korn and everyone hated them too,yes Korn is my favorite band.

There are 2 percussionists... and there not gimmick band, the masks were made before they were big... they started wearing them back in like 1995.

i dont like them

Pretty boring mediocre nu-metal band...power chords and angsty lyrics just aren't enough for me.

yes i love slipknot.......they were my favorite band but now murderdolls has taken the top spot.....slipknot comes in second tho

Cool. Ever hear of the Frankenstein Drag Queens or The Graveyard Boulevard? They're practically all the same band...

I got all albums, including mate, feed, kill, repeat and even a bootleg from the dynamo sicness 2000

But I fear that there last album (cause after this one they quit) will suck though

The new album wont suck... you watch, oh and yeah I have all the Slipknot albums also... including like the digi pack and the first cd with purity and the second with me inside... and I have some of the singles also.

yeah i dig them. im not one of these fanatics though, i just think thee pretty rockin.

for all the haters, all i can say is this, regardless of how you feel about their musical talent, if you ever attend a slipknot show you will be fucking blown away. they put on a fucking show, somthing alot of bands lack these days.

oh one other thing- how about you and eight of you homies try and start a band together. and if you can even produce an album let alone a good one then maybe youll have room to talk.

anyway, i like slipknot. i think that they have some cool music. even tho they are kind of a gimmick band. my friend is a huge maggot tho.

I like Slipknot. At first I wasn't into them at all - when I first saw a picture of them(remind you I had not heard their music yet) - I thought that the masks were kinda cool, but probably used only to attract attention. Once I was finally able to check out their music I totally liked it and I realized that they were talented, and that the masks had been around for quit a while. I also like Stone Sour.....saw them perform....great show. I left right afterwards, which was to bad, cause my b/f got to meet Corry Taylor. There's a bar in Lincoln, NE.......great place, everytime a band comes there you just have to wait outside and the bands (or some of the bands at least), are usually more then willing to come outside by the tour buses to greet you. Thats how I've gotten autographs from most of the artists I've met. Anyway, you all probably don't want to know about all that shit.....I'll shut up now.

Anders? Anders sucked... god no, I think Corey is WAY better at vocals than Anders.

Do I have to repeat myself? I know what Anders sounds like....that's why he's better.

In your opinion he is better... but to all the people I have talked to other than you think Corey is 10 times better than Anders.

hay i thank slipnot rules i love them i have my room deked out with slipnot stuff and i have every one of thare cd's and looking forword ot the next. but not them quiting! :(

look, you can't compare the 2
slipknot's mate feed kill repeat is one hell of a good album, most people don't like iut cause it's not the brutal slipknot that we know today
Anders has a good voice, but he would suck if he would sing on the last 2 albums

same for corey, he wouldn't be able to pull of mate feed kill repeat

but they are both good singers
and talking about singers, you know who's one of the best singers in my oppinion?

Although Corey did do Stone Sour... a pretty mellow band and everybody loved his voice, I also agree that Kud is a good singer... hes the man. He sings so fast but never mumbles or spits out wrong words. He is one of the fastest singers ever that I can understand all the words he says. Death Blooms, -1, and Dig are awesome songs too.

gotta agree there, anyone who can go from almost pop level harmonies and clearity to a death metal scream and growl in the same song and do them both well owns in my book.
