if hollywood asked you what comic based character you want made to film, which would you choose?



im gonna pick something from my era, which is not that long ago i might add.....maybe a savage dragon or the pitt would be cool

Not too many characters left, maybe Iron Fist? Skud the Disposable Hero?

But there are still quite a few graphic novels that could be done.

Superman: Red Son would be a cool movie. Supes is so boring with his invincibility and all, but the communist spin is silly and fun.

Kingdom Come could be the most expensive film in history

The Invisibles would make a cool series (but only for HBO or Showtime or some other network that allows free expression)

Strontium Dog would be my suggestion,great story and great characters.Someone make it now!......not you Boll!

Maybe Green Lanter,The Flash,The justice league,etc,etc.

lol! Probably! I'd have to say the Preacher. I heard about the show, but not a hollywood production. I just can't' think of who would be cool enough to play the part! Oh, and I wish they would do some of the Civil War comics to animation.

Personally, Im looking forward to seeing the Watchmen movie.

Not because I think it will be good per se, mostly just to see how they handle it - what gets changed/cut, who gets cast, how badly they fuck up, ect.

In all honesty it might turn out half decent...but I doubt it.

there is no way it will be good, imo. that graphic novel is great for a lot of reasons, none of which Hollywood will be able to reproduce.

I agree with you, but Im trying to reserve judgement.

Waiting until I see 300 to really make a decision about the director (Zack Snyder is set to direct Watchmen, incase you didnt know yet). His version of Dawn of the Dead was pretty solid...nothing spectacular, but solid. Based on that alone I dont think he's a very good choice, but 300 looks incredible...I guess we'll see.

Hopefully they make it in installments...a trilogy perhaps. That way they could fit most of it in. One movie? Impossible. Soooo much important stuff will need to be cut.

But like I say: Im trying to reserve judgement at least until more details are confirmed (IE: cast, screenwriter, ect.). Hollywood has surprised us in the past, maybe they can pull off a decent Watchmen movie. Here's hoping.
