Gothika

Was it really a horror movie, or more suspense?

I know I liked it when I saw it, good storyline, kept you wondering what was next, and had some interesting effects. In my opinion though, I don't know if I'd call it so much a horror movie.

Did anyone else like it though?

novakru 08-12-2007 12:44 PM

Supernatural thriller maybe?

I loved it.

Blue Dragon 08-12-2007 12:51 PM

Yeah, it'd probably fall under that category. I never saw it coming, that it was her husband who was evil, and why she killed him. Crazy stuff.

punk666 08-12-2007 02:58 PM

i thought it was good, had a nice sorta twist to it

alkytrio666 08-12-2007 03:25 PM

Nice spoiler warning there, pal.

Anyway, I actually hated it. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Ditto to both statements.

Roderick Usher 08-12-2007 06:47 PM

horrible film

massacre man 08-12-2007 07:19 PM

Saw it coming... Hated it.

Dante'sInferno 08-12-2007 07:27 PM

This movie was boring.

Dudeman 08-12-2007 07:27 PM

Yeah, it was a horrible film, and I didn't even see all of it!

The_Return 08-12-2007 07:48 PM

I thought it was OK...nothing special, but not a waste of time either.

jaybomb 08-12-2007 09:11 PM

i thought gothika was a good movie, did see the twist coming with her husband being the one, but still enjoyed it

Roderick Usher 08-12-2007 09:44 PM

seriously, guys...SPOILERS!!!

Jaybomb & Blue Dragon - a little tip for discussing films on the forum

Someone who hasn't seen a film may pop on to a thread read up on others opinions - - NO ONE WANTS A TWIST ENDING REVEALED BEFORE THEY SEE THE FILM!

Vodstok 08-13-2007 04:36 AM

Especially when you liked the movie. I suposeif you hated it, yu would think you were doing people aservice by revealing the ending so they dont watch a piece of crap, but even then people should be free to waste their own time.

Additionally, I thought it was god awful.

jaybomb 08-13-2007 05:47 AM

sorry everyone, kind of new to the forums

Vodstok 08-13-2007 07:06 AM

Dont sweat it, just assume with every movie, at least half the people that will read your post wont have seen the movie, so if you are going to talk about the end, just do this:

*** Spoiler Alert****

(insert spoiler here)

This way, no one can blow up because you gave away the plot. if they do, then they are kind of a moron, and it is amazing they could read the spoiler, because they couldnt read the warning :)

massacre man 08-13-2007 07:54 AM

The boat sank on Titanic.

massacre man 08-13-2007 09:09 AM

Vader is Luke's father.

jenna26 08-13-2007 09:42 AM

I didn't hate it, but it is pretty much a waste of time. Has so many problems, so many plot problems, and its not even bad in a good, fun way. Just kind of a bore. And Robert Downy Jr. deserved a better role....lol....;)

OMG, I was thinking of Gothic!!
I can't remember liking this movie or hating it...I can't remember most of it and I definitely don't remember an ending like the one mentioned in this thread:confused:

Now Gothic I liked :D
It doesn't surprise me you don't remember much about Gothika......its not particularly memorable......;)

VampiricClown 08-13-2007 04:49 PM

I agree with The_Return. I thought it was OK, not great though. It's worth a watch every once in awhile if you are really bored, but not something that I'd watch for fun.

It is a bit dated by now, I think it was late 80's-early 90's?
But I think you will enjoy it:cool:
