What Are Some Of Your Favorite Horror Film Scenes?

Yes I know, I'm ripping off the idea from Rod's video.
But I thought it would be cool.

Mine would be the very end of Halloween(1978) when Loomis shoots Michael 6 times, and he fall off the balcony.......Then Loomis looks over the edge, and he's gone. *Cue Music*
I have loved that scene since I was a 10 year old kid.... Way back in 1985.

Two great moments from horror films:

The first is this silly little exchange from "Halloween"...

LINDSEY WALLACE. (watching TV) I'm scared!

ANNIE (BABYSITTER). Well, what are you doing sitting here with all the lights off?

LINDSEY WALLACE. I dunno.

And the second is the scene in "Phantasm III" when Mike mentions that he just remembered something about the Tall Man--that the Tall Man doesn't like it when it gets cold. Reggie flips out and says Jeez, you knew about this and you never mentioned it? We coulda done something, why didn't you tell me? And Mike shrugs and gives him that "I dunno, beats me!" look.

The Ending of the Original The Wicker Man (73)

Like the end of the Night of the Living Dead, the Hero doesn't always survive at the end, its perhaps more chilling as the islanders are happily singing and dancing, while the sacrificial victim - Edward Woodward, screams in agony as he is burned alive.

My favorite moment from this year was in Planet Terror. The mom hands her very young son a pistol and tells him to shoot at anything that isn't mommy. The kid asks "even daddy?"

Mom replies "Especially daddy"

What follows is priceless!!!!

Mine would have to be Kane getting jumped by a facehugger in Alien. (still makes ME jump!:o :p )

The first "crash" in Death Proof, which repeats and shows the fate of each passenger, is a close second.;)

AND...reading through this thread...is making me think of something...

Jaws:
When Brody is throwing the chum into the sea and the sharks' head appears out of the water "We're gonna need a bigger boat"

missmacabre 10-10-2007 08:33 AM

The ending scene in audition. On it's own it is nothing special but the entire movie builds up to that one scene which makes it good.

Or I really like axe murder scene in American Psycho. It made me laugh but I think that's what made it so disturbing. That you enjoy it.

Favorite Scenes

I chose these scenes for the atmosphere rather than anything else. These are from classic horror movies

The Bride Of Frankenstein

When I first saw the revelation of the face of The Bride and the animated gestures of the head as a child, it scared the shit out of me!

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...kenstein_3.jpg

Dracula

One of the eeriest scenes is when the brides of Dracula are moving about Dracula's castle.

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...culasWives.jpg

I walked With A Zombie

The scene of Betsy's walk with Jessica through the moonlite canefields on route to the Houmfort to me is one of the eeriest scenes in the classic horror movies. It is both unnerving and terrifying!

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...ombieScene.jpg

These are my choices for inclusion in favorite scenes in the horror movies.

jaws when the shark bites the boat in half and jaws 2 when the shark gets electricuted. And jaws 1 opening scene. And the time the movie stopped in jaws 4. And when the kid dies in Jaws 1. And when the kid dies in the blob.

I liked the part when Jaws 4 ended. That was awesome.

I like the Jaws movies. Didn't care for jaws 3 or 4 though. But there a lot of good scenes in them.

the texas chainsaw massacre where the blond girl is screaming '

stop screaming. man. what a set of lungs. that's all she does
and if I'm not mistaken she is in the first scene of texas chainsaw
massacre (the remake with jessica biel in it).

ferretchucker 10-12-2007 07:02 AM

yeh, is it meant to be her, after what happened to her friends?

GorePhobia 10-12-2007 11:49 AM

The scene in Feast where the monster eats the boy, then throws up on the beer guy and then the cut the monster's dick off.
