First of all, they screwed up the ratings to some extent. and then I'm quite surprised to see that how come movies like The Descent, Blair witch project able to get into this list instead of any Argento's classics? and The 6th sense in the 6th place?!? does it make any sense?? What went wrong with Alien, Jaws, Seven, Poltergeist, Amityville Horror (1979), The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971), Don't look now, Diabolique (1955), The Devil’s Backbone, Black Christmas (1974), Audition, Zombie 2 .......????????

seems like as good a list as any

no one is going to be 100% happy with someone else's rankings. And I think THE DESCENT, BLAIR WITCH and THE SIXTH SENSE deserve to be on that list,

Sure ALIEN and JAWS are the most glaring omissions and I love DON'T LOOK NOW, THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE and SE7EN, but it's just a list...don't get your panties in a bunch over it

That list doesn't suck that much... I definatley wouldn't say they are crappy movies...

Sure, maybe it's full of more recent and mainstream films than you or I consider to be the best but it is what it is.... just another list.

alkytrio666 10-31-2007 04:43 AM

I think it's pretty good, for the most part.

ferretchucker 10-31-2007 07:11 AM

nearly all of them a fine in my opinion.

jenna26 10-31-2007 07:20 AM

I don't think The Ring should be anywhere near a best of list.....but many don't agree.....;) Still, it isn't a terrible list. I've seen worse.

I'd agree with you there, both ring movies sucked balls!

Terrible disappointment, I kept hearing how scary it was.....and, I don't know maybe I was missing something? Anyway, I don't care for either at all.....though I do like Ringu.

I think that's why they were so smelly, because Ringu was so great.

I enjoyed the first Ring and hated the second one.

Pretty cool list though.

Doc Faustus 11-01-2007 10:07 AM

It deserves a hearty C+-.

The only parts I don't agree with are 28 Days Later and The Ring... ewww.

Maybe I need to watch 28 Days Later again, haven't seen it in a while, though I remember hating it.

missmacabre 11-01-2007 05:15 PM

I didn't like 28 days later the first time cause I was too caught up with my hatred of fast zombies. I liked it the second time around though.

Zero 11-01-2007 05:21 PM

i think its pretty accurate. although i think some of the earlier films (dracula, etc.) should be higher.

the tough part is what is this list based on - scariest, most influential, 'best?' - I guess i'm not sure what 'best' even means.

ferretchucker 11-02-2007 01:28 PM

Zero. Did you just make a post with no irrelevance, no monkey pictures, no humour and which sounded pretty intelligent.
