A friend of mine (who has a great podcast called Drunken Zombie) from Peoria made a horror trailer/pitch for a contest being run by After Dark Films.

haha, that was a great narration. where did he get recorded at? the quality sounded good....

A friend of mine has a pretty sweet home studio. We did it 5 times and he cobbled it together with protools. It took all of 20 minutes.

wow - i watched/read a bunch of the 'pitches' and they were really amazingly awful. Rod's friend's was the best by far - most of the rest were just nonsense and so poorly written. no wonder films suck these days - all the aspiring filmmakers are freaking illiterate

Ditto... I was considering throwing a pitch out there, but I'm glad I didn't ultimately embarrass myself (I have 0 equipment in the video or editing category, so it would be more... conceptual than anything else).

Rod - I'd see your friend's movie. I'm a sap for mental institutions. And you're son's voiceover is fantastic. Guess he's taking after Dad. :)

The idea that my boyfriend and I actually is pretty fun and novel (though I have to give credit to mostly him; my idea was a straight up feminist homage to exploitative zombie pulp)... But we don't have a video camera or editing equipment. :(

That was really well done! Your son is only four and has the ability to put that kind of presence over a mike. Did you explain the plot to him, because it sounds as if he knows. There's darkness and foreboding in his voice. Brilliant.

Also, I like others, have a sweet tooth for asylum settings. Looks to be quite a romp.

Weird. Have you tried looking in your junk mail folder? Or I maybe try signing up with a different email address. I didn't have any problems with my Yahoo address. Also you can have them resend the validation. When it says you need to validate hit the Validate button and it should have an option to resend it. You have already tried. Sorry for all the problems with it man. I know it's a pain. Thanks for the support.
