There's always room for GIALLO - the trailer!!!!

GIALLO trailer - http://hannibalpictures.com/films/giallo_360.html

It's a sales trailer, so it's a little long, it hasn't been color-corrected and it has a temporary score. I posted it in the "new trailers" but I thought all of you would want to take a look.

I'm very proud.:D

I may have to take this post down, so please don't use the quote function on the trailer link - it makes it very difficult for me to remove things.

Enjoy

neverending 11-11-2008 03:56 PM

As I mentioned in the other thread- this looks AWESOME! Very atmospheric and plenty of Argento gore. I'm very excited to see this! I hope it will get a decent release!

Vodstok 11-11-2008 04:01 PM

DUDE!

Did he he stick clippers up her nose?!

You should be proud, that is awesome...

Dont mind me, I am basking in reflected glory....

newb 11-11-2008 04:03 PM

Very cool Sean. I actually want to see it because of the trailer......not because I'm best friends with one of the writers.

We are friends aren't we.....I mean if I walk into the theater with my wife and tell them "This is my buddy's movie...we get in for free" their not gonna toss me out....right?

seriously......best of luck...this could catapult your career.

just don't forget about us

Who? What?

Who are all you people?

Hey you kids, get off my lawn!

crabapple 11-11-2008 04:34 PM

Heh heh! Sweet deal, Ed!

The Flayed One 11-11-2008 06:07 PM

Awesome. I'll be there opening night.

alkytrio666 11-11-2008 06:10 PM

Wow- this looks awesome! There looks to be plenty of Argento signatures but also a dark, bleak tone which seems very frightening- we'll call it the "Sean Keller formula".

Can't. Wait.

kpropain 11-11-2008 07:10 PM

Sean I can't wait to see it, the trailer looks so awesome, congrats man, I know you've got to be excited and proud. I wish you the best of luck my friend.

_____V_____ 11-11-2008 07:38 PM

Looks delicious. I cant wait to taste the real dish.

fortunato 11-11-2008 10:17 PM

Egad! Sean, it truly looks fantastic!
I'd better be able to see it opening night or something awful is going to happen.

urgeok2 11-12-2008 05:30 AM

i dont want to see the trailer ... so i can see the film fresh

is there a release date yet ?

pinkfloyd45769 11-12-2008 05:36 AM

Thats so cool:D I will have to see this!!!Good luck!;)

Roderick Usher 11-12-2008 06:28 AM

Thank you all for the kind words.

There is no release date set. The trailer is a sales promo to help us lock down a domestic distribution deal. I'll keep you all posted as events develop, but we do have a rather sweet premiere planned... more on that as plans solidify.

here's a link where you can biggify the image

so it'll be before the Toronto Horrorfest next year though ?

(where Mother of Tears premiered)

pinkfloyd45769 11-12-2008 06:51 AM

I gotta say,Adrian Brody is hotttttttt!!!!!:D

ferretchucker 11-12-2008 08:41 AM

That seriously looks amazing! You got any idea what kind of release this will get, because if it's in cinemas and pretty big, I can't wait to tell people that I converse with the guy who wrote it.

bwind22 11-12-2008 02:05 PM

Way to go Sean. Looks awesome! Keep 'em coming.

missmacabre 11-12-2008 02:36 PM

Sean I would have used your provided link but there was no digg button. I submitted a story I found on icons of fright though.

http://digg.com/movies/First_Footage...gento_s_Giallo

Digg it if you want. I did say it would premiere at Cannes because I read that on here and was under the impression that was the plan, then I read this thread. If that's not the case I'm sure I can fix that.

Roderick Usher 11-12-2008 04:25 PM

it might and it might not... either way, you said it not me, so it's just an "internet rumor";)

bwind22 11-14-2008 12:14 AM

I'm gonna start up an internet rumor that Sean Keller is up for double Oscar consideration this year for his scripts, Giallo and LA Gothic. I hope you don't mind. :D

By the way, some douchebag posted on the LA Gothic imdb page calling JC the Master of Disappointment and then about twenty other people jumped down his throat calling him (the poster) just about every name in the book. Kinda funny to read through if you're ever bored.

GorePhobia 11-14-2008 01:14 AM

Wow....just WOW!

I am so glad they made your script into a film, Sean.

It looks absolutely stunning and I will also be there the day it is released. I will even go to a midnight screening if they have one.

I am so proud of you man.

illdojo 11-14-2008 06:48 PM

Talk about bragging rights.
Good for you, Sean!! I can't wait to see it.

Attack of the 5-headed Krako-Grypho-Mammoth? ;)

But seriously, a promising career and future awaits you, bud. All the best.

Hope you fulfill my dream someday and write Alien 5 into a cracking script for a kickass filmmaker.

roshiq 11-15-2008 01:46 AM

Waiting for the dvd release...at least a pirated one!:o

Brody talks GIALLO

Yes, I am going to keep spamming this film non-stop until the film comes out.

I hope you told him to "fuck off" :D

urgeok2 12-04-2008 10:18 AM

i see some chatter about this on the fangoria forum as well

neverending 12-04-2008 10:23 AM

Well, Brody's an actor- of course he takes credit for everything.

Never. Brody was cool and was very particualr about the nuances of his dialog, so he was very "hands on." Which is a great thing. I love that an actor cares enough to fine-tune a character to best fit his/her strengths - I have absolutely no ego about my writing. If a little tweak makes a better film, then we do the work.

The funny thing is that, structurally, nothing changed from the draft we sent to Dario to the shoting script and we only lost one scene to rewrites - which was simply consolidated into another scene.

Miss Nobody looks great. It's almost like a Coen Bros version of THE TEMP

i think he's a great choice for a Giallo .. he has that thin, dark unassuming regular guy look that is popular in those films.

Just a regular guy swept up in unusual circumstances. (who eventually has to find and inner strength - and sometimes an inner demon - and rise to the occasion) I completely understood the casting choice as soon as i heard it.

Roderick Usher 12-05-2008 07:19 AM

This is freaking me out!

http://www.myspace.com/giallosymphonicfilmscore

Check out some samples of the score... it's a full symphonic score - with actual melodies!
As a musician turned screenwriter I have to say that this is the coolest thing about the film so far. An actual score to the movie I co-wrote! I still haven't seen the entire film, but I'm supposed to see a screening of it next week.

I'm getting more and more excited about this!!!!!
