WIP Flicks
 

This is a genre I'd like to explore further. I haven't checked out much of the European or Asian flicks but have really enjoyed the US out I've seen.

Chained Heat with Linda Blair is one of my favorites. John Vernon had me laughing my ass of in this one.

The Concrete Jungle is a pretty good example of the genre which the director later went on to parody in Reform School Girls.

What flicks are you guys into and do you have any recs for me?

Caged Heat is prolly the blue print for the modern AIP film.

Also don't miss all the Filipino ones - especially Big Doll House/Big Bird cage.

Franco did a Bunch of them - lots of the same cast/locations they all blur into a haze of sadism and bushy pubes though :-)

I like the real old ones too - Caged and I think theres one called simply Women in prison (i hvae these on vs some where).

The nazi exploitation films are a subgenre of the WIP if you wanna check these out too..

and the girl fight....you know there's gonna be a hair pulling, shirt ripping, punching, biting fight.

Well, Caged Heat is great- it was Jonathan Demme's first film and features Barbara Steele.

Also Refrm School Girls is notable for having Wendy O Williams and Sybil Danning.

Lots of fun.

I'm gonna go with Women In Prison. But is there really a whole 'genre' dedicated to flicks with women in jail killing off each other?

If you think all they do in there is kill each other- you've never seen a WIP movie.

If I had, I would not be asking what WIP is.

If by kill you mean 'fussing in the showers' then you are correct..

Ilsa/Wanda the Wicked Warden/Greta the Mad Butcher has my fave :-)

I have seen few...Prison Heat, Bare behind bars, Black mama white mama and Jess Franco's Barbed wire dolls.

Tough haven't seen yet but have a copy of Reform school girls, Black cobra and Chained heat 2 in my collection.

Nope we're talking EXPLOITATION FILMS baby, EXPLOITATION FILMS!!!

The only Franco WIP flick I've seen is Ilsa The Wicked Warden.

I like Big Dollhouse/Bird Cage along with Savage Sisters and Black Mama, White Mama. Those were my introduction to the genre.

I still haven't checked out Caged Heat yet... pretty slack :o

I've got a few Nazi Exploitation flicks that I haven't watched yet: Love Camp 7, Salon Kitty and Women's Camp 119

Last one I watched was SS Hell Camp which I though was pretty nifty.

The 80s Cannon flick The Naked Cage is one I like a lot too. Trashy as fuck :cool:

I still haven't got round to watching my copy of Red Heat with Linda Blair yet either.

I just saw THE BIG BIRD CAGE at a Sid Haig tribute... some reallly great stuff in there... some real crap as well
