Assuck are amazing too. I'm more into the Powerviolence side of things these days shit like Infest, Iron Lung and No Comment is dope.

carcass had one grind album, I didn't like it. necroticism is when they got kicked out of the grind club, they started incorporating melodies into their songs which got their grind card revoked for life.

necroticism and heartwork are definitely the best carcass albums.

fuglystick 08-04-2009 07:05 PM

I have no fucking clue what grind is

It's a meaningless term made up by journalists to help extreme music fans have something more to argue over and be petty about.

Whatever. Sounds like your one of those "all metal sounds the same" kinda people. Grind, Thrash, Black, Doom and Death are far from meaningless terms. All those styles are drastically different from each other so are termed accordingly.

Been listening to Necroricism a bunch this weekend and I'd still call it a grind album. It was when grind was coming out of the noise for noise sake period. Plenty of grind has melody/groove to a certain extent... well the good shit anyways not just the cookie cutter noise bands.
