Top Holiday Horror

Horror stories based around a holiday:

Christmas - Black Christmas
Tales From The Crypt: segment: And All Through The House
Thanksgiving - Eli Roth's fake trailer:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02n0koHeQZw

Halloween - Halloween
Trick R Treat
May Day - The Wicker Man
Valentine's Day - Picnic At Hanging Rock

Arbor Day - Mad Magazine horror movie spoof:http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/ima...orday_wide.jpg

Lots of Christmas and Halloween based stories I'm sure, but what others?

Of course! For some reason, Guy Fawkes Day hasn't caught on in America.http://www.killerfilm.com/wp-content...r-vendetta.jpg

Ferox13 11-25-2010 01:24 AM

I watch Christmas Evil and Don't open til Christmas every year..

Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 is amazing...

Elvis_Christ 11-25-2010 02:03 PM

Two movies for the price of one!

TheWickerFan 11-25-2010 03:56 PM

I wish some station like Chiller could have a Christmas horror marathon.

I wish we actually had a horror channel over here

I don't care much for Chiller, its edited with commercials. If you have OnDemand Fearnet is pretty cool, tons of uncensored movies to choose from with only 1 horror related commercial per movie.

Elvis_Christ 11-25-2010 05:22 PM

We don't have OnDemand either. Just fairy average payTV that's nothing special.

Sistinas666 11-25-2010 05:28 PM

Hell, I don't know why I pay for cable at all with Netflix.

Elvis_Christ 11-25-2010 05:56 PM

Well it's good to watch something random you normally wouldn't have

Exactly - why watch the first one at all...

There were a few Thanksgiving themed horror movies - Thanxgiving and Blood Freak. There was also Thankskilling last year which I haven't seen so I can't say whether it is as stupid as it looks. It is labeled a horror/comedy but there could be some gore. I also remember one from when I was a kid about a escaped mental patient who invaded Thanksgiving - can't recall the title. Any ideas?

Yeah, I'm ridiculously psyched about this one - Rue Morgue gave it a great review.

...

All time favorite holiday horror for me:

Black Christmas (1974)

Followed closely by:

Night of the Comet

Oh, really? I think it's so much fun! Sure, it's cheesy, but definitely enjoyable - One of my favorites. I consider it incredibly underrated.
