10 Turkeys?? 1960s

Having done some IMDB research, these were the 10 reasonably well known films from the 1960s with the lowest ratings:

Manos: The Hands Of Fate (1966)
Monster a Go-Go (1965)
The Beast Of Yucca Flats (1961)
The Creeping Terror (1964)
The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies (1964)
Eegah! (1962)
Body In The Web (1960)
Orgy Of The Dead (1965)
I Eat Your Skin (1964)
Monstrosity (1964)

Do these films deserve these low ratings or are they unfairly maligned? Is there a film from this decade infinitely worse?

Next four decades to follow in the Modern section.

Well, of course they're awful, but they're also entertaining to watch.

Manos has to be seen to be believed.

I LOVE Manos!:D

I've seen The Creeping Terror and Monstrosity, but none of the others.

You would love Eegah as well, I believe. It's tongue in cheek, but even so, there's enough disturbing subtext to make one wonder WTH the filmmakers were thinking...

You were right. A lot of fun, and kind of sleazy.

Teenage Zombies is another one, and also Ed Wood's movies. They are so bad they are good.

Fearonsarms 06-28-2011 12:22 PM

Goodness I haven't seen any of these. I actually see The Raven as a bit of a turkey though it is fun to watch.

The Creeping Terror is actually pretty cheesy entertainment.

Bit tough, the call on The Raven. It's a true 60s classic entertainer with a stellar cast.

I appreciate there is a stellar cast as you say and the original poem features hevily-however to me it is so ridiculous and silly that I see the film as a complete joke.

You are a complete hypocrite-when I say the same thing about 1980s films in the other thread-you, V, Roshiq and Angra gang up on me. But when you say it here no one says anything. I hope everyone else on the forum see these two threads.

Oh, kiddo...the simple thing is NE or anyone here (other than you) haven't mentioned a non-trashy or good film as a trashy film like you did in WF's 80's turkey thread. Whether you like them or not you called a film like Monkey Shines a gutter trash! People are lately very calm here or busy with other things that they actually said very little in response to your "opinion". You didn't find any substance on them that's your loss, forget it. Actually I think you've a quite different definition or ground for a film to categorize it with a 'trash' tag and that differs with us greatly.

The Beast Of Yucca Flats, wow. It looked like it was made by some 5th graders with a old 16MM camera. It was so bad it was bad.

Ok just to put an end to this-I do not come on here to have arguments (with you, neverending or anyone). I was out of order with my outburst and for that I apologise, I took time away to chill and I genuinely hope all this misunderstanding never happens again ok-peace everyone!
