I'm sure it's something thats already been thought about, but I figured I would mention it anyway. I personally feel that NE's account should be locked in some way or deleted or basically put in a state where he can reclaim it if he chooses at a later date. His mod privilages could be revoked if necessary.... I have nothing against wicker and if she is chosen and wants to be a moderator then her account can be promoted along with the others.

I'll definitely step up - I've been around for a while, am passionate about this forum, and don't want to see it dwindle.

btw...just want to thank Straker, Angra, Elvis and Despare for having my back last night.

I wasn't sure at first but after thinking it over I'll step up. I've been on here awhile now through the good times and the bad and would like an active part in steering this place back to it's former glory.

I was a mod on a smaller board over here awhile back so I've had a bit of experience. I'd do my best to be objective, fair and not hold grudges or get on some sort of digital powertrip.

Good people have put their name forward so it's looking like HDC will be in the right hands and hopefully we can come out of this recent unpleasantness and get the joint running on a positive level.

Oh! I didn't say why. I've been an active member of these boards for about 6 years or so now. I've helped with organizing quite a few different projects and so on throughout the years. I really enjoy this place and (most of) the people here, and I also don't want to see it become a ghost town. I would love to help bring it back to what it used to be.

Seems like there's enough other people to take up the mod positions and there hasn't been much of an overall enthusiastic response about my offer, I wouldn't really want to continue heading towards something I didn't have too much backing on, so I'll leave it with the rest of you folks and hope that it works itself out. Looks like it's covered.

To be honest the only reason I didn't mention you Cheebs is your life... you've had this vet stuff going on, you've got a new family, and you always seems to come and go (understandably) because of how busy you are. It's not because I think you wouldn't do a good job and I would totally back you if you if you really think you have the time for it. :)

I'm not really doing the vet thing anymore but I'm working so I'm not as available as I used to be.

I didn't take offense or anything, I was just saying that essentially it looks like there's enough people to handle it if I were to step aside.

That said, while I don't post all the time I do check in daily - the time zone difference usually puts that within times that others might not be available, even if my overall hours logged on are a bit less.
I don't know really. I mean I think I could help out to some extent.
I guess that a site having a higher number of mods wouldn't be a bad thing, considering our track record with attrition.

I've been a presence on the site for...hm, I don't even know, 8+ years?
I feel like I'm "ok" with everyone.
I know where to draw the line between fun and annoying trollish bullshit.

The will for the moderation to be a cohesive team without any bias or falling into cliquish behaviour, this is something I would step on.
No favouritism - I'm not particularly friendly with ANYONE here, am I?
I'm an oldskool gaming enthusiast. I think this brings something to any role.

Other than that, I'd probably endeavor to lurk less and post at least daily when I'm available.

So that's all I'll say on it, at this stage if it happens it happens.
