Have you ever cried during a movie?
Pretty self-explanatory. I'll admit that I've cried during 4 movies that I can remember: Les Miserables, Finding Nemo, The Iron Giant, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (because the series was over).
|
Theres some movies that have made me emotional. Can't really recall any at the moment but it's happened. Honestly a movie should elicit that kind of response. Not all of them obviously but the emotional ones.
|
I most certainly got farklempt watching many films, music & speeches. It's hard to remember which films & scenes for sure (at the moment). I know I have a soft spot for scene leading up to & including Eleanor Rigby in Yellow Submarine. There's a particular Martin Luther King speech that strikes me. There was a moment or two in Xmen: Future Past. In the film Gandhi, when, while he was being beaten, he refused to stop burning the registration cards in South Africa. All that comes to mind at the moment.

I cry all the time.
Oh wait, during movies? Nah, just a few. |
Greystoke the legend of Tarzan Lord of the Apes.
The one with Christopher Lambert. When his ape parents and grandfather die. |

Yes I've cried during movies. The latest movie I cried over was probably the Harry Potter movies, the deathly hallows movies. Than I cried over The Lovely Bones, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower & My Girl at the very end. There's been several movies that I've cried over but I usually cry over very emotional scenes. They always seem to get me crying the most.
|
I have cried during the scene in The Sixth Sense where the young girl is slowly being poisoned by her mother, and you see a video of the young girl in her bedroom while her mother spikes her food.Shocking and yet so beautifully made.

I generally don't cry over movies/tv shows but I do get misty eyed once in awhile. The Lone Survivor was the most recent one that touched my heart. Mainly because my own son is a Marine and I just couldn't imagine that happening to him.
I have a hard time seeing animals get hurt or killed and that can really make me misty!! |
I'm the same with animals. I really hate it when one's hurt on screen.
|
I cry a lot in movies. Anything a bit sad or sentimental. Hotel For Dogs made me cry at the cinema.

... I definitely get emotional during movies - Sometimes it catches me by surprise (recently, I thought that Her was so beautiful it made me tear up at the end) and sometimes I watch movies that I know will make me cry on purpose - When I need a good cry. |
Chrono I'll admit I got emotional when 10 died.

STILL makes me tear up! |
I saw "My Girl" in the theater and remember getting a pretty big lump in my throat during that one. When Anna Chlumsky delivered the line "Put his glasses on, he can't see without his glasses" I heard so many people let out a loud sob it was unreal. I think everyone in that room was crying.

That would be hilarious. ::big grin:: |
Had to try my best to hold back tears in "Philadelphia".
|
Yeah, I cried over the weekend from watching The Fault in Our Stars. I think it was because of how close it hit to home. There are those few movies that just know how to hit ya right in the heart!!
|
Heck yes, lots of times! Any movie that gets emotional and reminds me of real emotional situations will do that to me. It just has to FEEL real.
|
I tear up every time I see The Passion of The Christ.
Pretty powerful movie. |
Frankenweenie-goddamnit it I cried like a baby before he even kicked it-took my stepson to see it and I was trying so hard to be quiet it just made it worse, I sobbed during that movie three times-7 year old stepson has a heart of ice, not one tear....
|
yes, but only once in the cinema, i went to watch the crow when it came out and it made me cry several times.
|
It almost ashames me that there actually many movies that made and still make me cry. Sometimes because of cute creatures getting harmed (like the ewoks in Star Wars VI), or emotional moments or because of a nostalgia (yesterday watched Home Alone again, and the end scene with the old man made me cry a bit)...so I guess, even as a man, you can't always fight against that...gosh did I cry for Titanic, seriously...
