I'm Feeling Generous Right Now

Actually...I don't know if it's generosity, or trying to commandeer fate...Anyway...Superstition (or Karma, or something) says that if you do something for someone, for no reason at all, you will have the favor returned threefold...I am going to Bingo tomorrow night, and I intend to win...BIG...So, here's the plan....

The next ten people here...Who respond to this thread (one time each), AND give me your home address in a PM, NOT on the board...A REAL address, no P.O. Boxes...and do NOT forget your zip code...Will get $10 in the mail...I have 2 hours to make it to the post office in time...Yes, it IS crazy...That's probably why I thought of it...If you guys live on the east coast, you will likely get the money by tomorrow...If not, it will probably be by Saturday...U.S. and Canada only...I'm not sure how much overseas postage is, but I know that Canada is 60 cents, so I can do that...I'm serious, and if you give me a made up address, you will be out $10...So, think about it...Do you want it or not?

I'll also let you know how Bingo turns out tomorrow night:)

ShankS 08-19-2004 10:33 AM

Thats a really nice and very generous offer to the members here bloodrayne....... I wish all the luck for you tomorrow at the bingo!! :)

one thing though, it'd probably cost you more than $10 just to send me $10 in the Uk lol :D ;)

granitemonkey 08-19-2004 10:37 AM

Interesting;)

LOL...Thanks, Shanks, but that's what I was thinking too...that's why I limited the offer to the U.S. and Canada...I usually spend $300-$400 and I play 8 computers, most people play 1-3...That's how I beat the odds, and usually end up winning

This is how it's played these days...This is my usual setup...

lol that lot put side by side, looks like a console from Star Trek.... gona need sharp eyes to keep an eye on that lot :)

bwind22 08-19-2004 10:48 AM

So let me get this straight...

You want to send 10 people $10 and the only thing you want in return is our address? Have you been drinking already? It's barely even the afternoon. ;)

If I didn't know you at all (Or if I was a newbie) this type of thing would creep me out because we all know there are whackos on the net looking for easy prey. (Too bad for them, I'm not it. If they tried breaking into my house, they'd get a pistol pulled on them real quick.) BUT, the fact of the matter is that over the past 8 months I have gotten to know you a bit and I seriously doubt that you are one of those whack internet stalkers, so now my only dilemma is that I think I'd feel guilty taking your money.

... Aww fuck it. If you're gonna give it to someone it might as well be me, right? :D

I sent you an IM.

P.S. This is the nicest/craziest thing I have ever seen anyone do online. Congratulations, here's your prize....

Actually blood, if you were to put $10 in an envelope and send it usps to any other country it would only cost you .80 cents.

ShankS 08-19-2004 10:53 AM

rofl.. think this thread broke the record for speedy replies :D

bloodrayne 08-19-2004 10:56 AM

LOL...You guys are crazier than I am...Besides, I have searched high and low for a bomb that would fit in an envelope, and I just can't find one, so you don't have to worry about that:D

If this actually works, you guys will be doing something for ME...and if it works REALLY well, I'm going to do it again...I only need a few more addresses, then I'm on my way to the post office...Oh yeah...I nearly forgot about the "trust" factor, thanks guys...That's really sweet:)

allmykids 08-19-2004 10:58 AM

Very Nice of you!!!!

Out of curiousity, what is it we'll be doing for you? (Other than lightening the weight of your purse.)

Or are you referring to all the good karma that will inevitably wind up coming in your direction?

To be perfectly honest...I'm not really sure HOW to address things for overseas...I have only sent things in the U.S. and to Canada...Of course, if someone is overseas and can explain it in a very simple way, I can try it:)

newb 08-19-2004 11:08 AM

Simple......standard envelope, address on front, postage on front top right corner:D

bwind22 08-19-2004 11:09 AM

You must have supreme confidence in your BINGO ability to make this offer and mail out money before you actually win.

It would really suck if you sent out a hundred bucks here today and then dropped another couple hundred on BINGO tomorrow. :( If that happens, you should let us know. I wouldn't cash your check if that were the case.

P.S. New match posted on The Cartoonament! (I see it's starting to slide already so I figured since this thread is so hot, I'd post a note here.)

LOL...I am sending cash...and I think that it will work better if you get the money before I go...So far, I think that most of you are close enough to get these tomorrow...If not, I would say definitely by Saturday...and don't worry...I almost always win...or at least break even :)

Lucid Dreams 08-19-2004 11:24 AM

i think that you just may be the nicest person i have ever met...may u win...a whole lotta money!

Arioch 08-19-2004 11:27 AM

Are your bingo winnings really this disposable Bloodrayne? Your just sending random people 10$ in the mail?

You may well be.... but as I'm such a nice person, and bloodrayne is too...... maybe you could ask bloodrayne nicely if she could send you the $10 that I would have had ( since I was first to reply but live too far away in the Uk ;) ) unless all ten have gone already and Blood has chosen the receivers.

..... in that case you'll have to go skint :D

Sam The Egg 08-19-2004 12:54 PM

can I go skint anyways?

bloodrayne 08-19-2004 01:24 PM

To everyone who provided addresses...I apologize in advance for the sloppy handwriting, but the post office was closing on me, and as it turns out, I don't write much faster than I type...lol...But, the money is on its way:)

Sam...I wish you would have been here about an hour ago, but if this actually works, I'm going to do it again...So, catch ya on the next go 'round...If it DOESN'T work, well...I won't do it again, but I really had fun this time...I can't wait ill tomorrow night...Thanks again, guys:)
