tired of wasting my money on boring movies....

I know , I know... someones gonna say that this thread sucks, and it has been done before, over and over again... But... whats a great horror flick? Any ideas???

Im not a teeny bobber who gets scared watching "saw" or grudge, I am a horror fan looking for new blood. I am tired of hollywood shit. I actually want something truely scary.

I have been perusing ebay for ages and trying to make a decision to what movies I should buy. I am so tired of buying the "scariest movies" and then watching them and falling asleep cause they are so BORING! I own the ring trilogy ( good) and dark water ( okay) kairo ( boring) battle royale ( funny as hell, quite enjoyable) the eye ( okay, one of the better ones)

I like suspense and I am bored of all the movies I have at home. I've been through the fred kruegar stage and the exorcist. I loved event horizon and wrong turn was pretty good. ... so what is a really really good freaky movie. I want a movie that makes me have to turn on all the lights just too go to the bathroom at night.

PLease help... I am sick of wasting money on average movies!
thanks all

Try Black Christmas. One of the most frightening slashers I've seen.

Ah, the jaded existence of the maturing horror fan.

Once you're too old for comedy icons like Freddy and Jason, you need to experiment with independent movies - use the money you save on expensive DVD boxsets to trawl obscure video rental stores (forget Blockbuster and all that shit) and hire some old & new titles you may never have heard of before, and don't be afraid of subtitles.

You'll end up with a few duds, but every so often will come across a gem.

Do some research and study writers and directors whose other films you can track down, too.
