Is this movie worth watching or buying? And I'm referring to the 1978 version.

It´s definitely worth renting. If you´re into scary movies, then this one certainly has it´s moments.;)

I dont see why they needed to remake that movie, The origanal was so good!

I liked both versions--The 1956 version is classic, but the later version with Donald Sutherland trying to get the chef to eat a rat turd which the chef claimed was a caper was very funny.

there's also the 90's version, which is also pretty damn good

The original is a classic and should be owned by all horror/Sci-Fi movie collectors!

The remake with Donald Sutherland and Leonard Nemoy is a good remake and is worth buying and watching over every now and then. I have it and watch it a couple of times a year.
