modern horror, what needs work

im a big fan of horror.

modern, classic, slasher, zombie, hell i like every thing.

i have noticed some problems with the modern horror. spicificly, not enough gore, plot , or even originality. also way to much cgi. not enough good old fashined prostetics.

some new movie have been good, wrong turn, saw, cabin fever, ect.

thats my thoughts, whats yours.
reply.

I would like to see a japanese and an american horror director sticking their heads together trying to make a good original horror movie.

I think that a blend of both nations would do great for the horror genre.:)

Yeeah.... Suuure.... But maybe even more original.

I mean, lots of asian horror movies use a lot more philosophy than i have ever seen in an american horror movie. They simply got more depth.
But like the americans it seems that the asians also has got stucked in their own recipe and just use it over and over again. Like you said, a little girl with long hair covering her face, and a slow moving story that sloooooowly builds up to the grand climax.
And i don´t even wanna start with the americans. Guess there´s a reason why they´re doing so many remakes now. No new ideas.

No, i would like to see an american paced horror movie with asian philosophical depth and....(Well i´m too tired to come up with more right now)..

THAT would be cool.
