Okay...We do this all the time...We tell people, "My mother always said..."...Or something similar to that.....So...I'm wondering...What is the ONE thing that your mother told you that meant the most to you, that you actually remembered, adhered to, paid attention to, considered, actually even utilized, and/or passed along to someone else?




My mother always told me..."Be yourself, no matter what...It doesn't matter what other people think...It only matters what you think about yourself..."

Of course NOW...Whenever I go anywhere with her (which is a VERY rare occurance)...She always says..."Will you please dress 'normal' today?":rolleyes:

So here's another question...Did she actually PRACTICE what she preached???

my mom always told me to be myself and if someone didn't like it then it was their problem.

I'm not sure my momma ever told me anything much....gonna haveta think..hmmm..*thinks*

now that I think about it it was usually my dad who did most of the ''things to live by'' quotes and my mom mostly delt with my sister.

My mum warned me about men. She said, "They'll tell you anything."

that was an unfortunate generalization.

i think she meant 'boys'

as for the thread.....

mum never said anything like that to me, I was the 3rd son, so she must have got bored with the idea, of giving out tips.
