high tension - bloody good film.

unDead - decent ausie flick.

war of the worlds - original was fab, don't know much about remake

the cave - trailer looks ok, probably end up flopping

dark water - the jap original was good, the trailer for the remake, don't look too bad, couple of decent actors aswell.

domino - not heard of this

the skeleton key - just read synopsis, sounds okish.

the corpse bride - animation not my thing.

didnt like "High Tension"very much....a wannabe spesial slasher..
..."War of the worlds"...I liked the orginale...but I dont hope Spielberg is in one of his sentimental or childish psychosis..

..and "Dark Water"..hmmm maybe people are a little tired of those ghost movies now

nothing has made me madder than this.

its not a remake of war of the worlds, its a remake of Independance Day.

I hated the origional ... it was a watered down religious film..

what i WANT to see is the book made into a film faithfully -
turn of the century (last century) England with english actors.

Speilberg has the money ... why the fuck didnt he just do it right .. asshole !

I feel bad for you crazy movie fans, it must ruin a lot of movies for you. :p

I mean I'm more of a fan than most of my friends, I want more than to be entertained for an hour and a half, but my standards aren't ridiculously high... yet. :D

enjoy that feeling ,,, it IS bliss - believe me ...

but this particular movie .. i feel strongly about it ..
even before i heard about the new version i wrote a thread saying it was the one movie i wish they'd remake properly.

If you read the book you might understand .. the time and setting is what made it special .. and now with the technology available - it could finally be done justice.

I know the origional is a 'classic' but it is just another americanization that was twisted into a vehicle for christianity -
there was nothing like that in the book ...

The only two I am really looking to are The Corpse Bride (huge Burton fan, I even forgive him for that Planet of the Apes remake) and Dark Water. But The Skeleton Key might be interesting.
