Cannibal Ferox ( a.k.a. Make Them Die Slowly).

Great fun, gory and violent 1981 Italian cannibal flick from Umberto Lenzi about New York druggies who join with American explorers in the jungles of South America to study and find legendary cannibal tribes but unfortunately they find some as they must try to escape.

This has tons of great gore like castration, piercing, guts and of course three actual animals getting killed ( But don't worry, the scenes with the animals attacking each other for the camera is just stock footage from a documentary). It's not as good and brutal as "Cannibal Holocaust" as this is a more fun non-depressing version of "CH" and just as enjoyable as "Jungle Holocaust" and "Mountain of the Cannibal God".

Recommended if you want a good time of a gross out flick!

Its got a great commentary track on it as well. Your wrong about the animal killings being stock footage. On the commentary their arguing about it.

No no, not the people butchering the animals in this movie, but the scenes where the animals attack each other was stock footage or was it natural?

Stock footage I believe...... but what do I know

I can't remember too much about the animal attacking scenes, but one was that lemer or whatever it was that was tied up and Lenzi wanted the snake to eat and it pissed off the movie crew. They said "Fuck that, if that animal dies, we walk off the set." And I don't know if the footage of animal killings were from footages, but bear in mind, that's how those people get furs and food, so maybe Lenzi caught that on film himself. And the brain scene was, if I remember correctly, banannas and red food coloring. But looked fairly real enough. :) The movie would've been so much better if there were more killings inbetween. It's an decent B flick but it does kinda drag on a bit.

Best cock-hacking scene of them all, much better than the one in Cannibal Holocaust.

Morghen's hand-lopping ain't bad either.

One of my all time favorites.

Don't forget the chopping off the top of his head/brain-scooping scene. :)
