An American Haunting

This sounds like it could be interesting:

An American Haunting (January 1, 2006) — Synopsis: Adapted from the 1997 novel The Bell Witch: An American Haunting, the film's story is based on true events validated by the State of Tennessee of the only case in U.S. history where a spirit caused the death of a man. Stars Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek. No official website yet.

I saw the trailer for this film and it looks incredible. I can't wait till this film comes out. It is supposed to be based on a true story. Which IMO is always a little scary.

I like Donald Sutherland, but I think this'll just be more Hollywood grabage.

I grew up in Tennessee, so I had the Bell Witch legend constantly shoved down my throat. I'm sure Sutherland will make the movie worth watching. Aside from that, it's anyone's guess.

Um... It was a long time ago, so I may be remembering it all wrong, but here we go. In the early frontier days of Tennessee, there was a settler who built and moved into a large home with his family. Over time, an evil presence made itself known in the house, pounding the walls and otherwise making noise, and assaulting the farmer's daughter (har dee har har.) I don't recall much after this, but you can probably find info on Google or something.
