Oldie but Goodie
This thread was done a long while back, but seeing as how we have many new members I thought it would be worth bringing new life to it.
Okay crew, what would you like your epitaph to say?
I still stand by the one I chose many many years ago:
Percy Bysshe Shelley's, "Remembrance"
"Art thou come and gone-
As the earth when leaves are dead,
As the night when sleep has fled,
As the heart when joy has fled,
I am left lone, alone."
I think that that verse describes death so well. Crossing that bridge between life and death by yourself... to get to the other side...alone. Being in the earth, alone. It's just really beautiful to me. Ravens, will of course, be flanking either side of the poem in honor of the Goddess.
