My list is very different from a lot of opinions, but you can all deal with it.

2. The Matrix
3. The Mummy Returns
4. V for Vendetta
5. X2: Xmen United
6. Man on Fire
7. Reservoir Dogs
8. Lost in Space
9. Paycheck
10. Minority Report

Honorable Mentions
1. Cellular
2. The Island
3. Any that I forgot which will probably replace some of these when I remember them.

What's you guys'?

You really love robocop, haha. It was a good flick, but, not my favorite. I liked the crazy guy at the beginning, tormenting the man with the shotgun before blowing his hand off.

I thought it was an all-around amazng film...it had everything a good action movies needs: A great hero, and equally awesome villain, a few plot twists, great actors, crazy violence, and a simple but really cool ending. Love it.

I own the sequel, but I still havent had a hance to watch it. Is it anywhere near as good as #1?

Not really, and part 3 is just "what the hell?"

But they're all watchable IMO

This is assuming westerns count as action movies

1. Yojimbo

3. Seven Samurai
4. Ran
5. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
6. Magnificent Seven
7. The Wild Bunch
8. Scarface
9. The Untouchables
10. Battle Royale

If westerns don't count:

1. Yojimbo
2. Seven Samurai
3. Ran
4. Scarface
5. The Untouchables
6. Battle Royale
7. Reservoir Dogs
8. Sin City
9. From Dusk Till Dawn
10. Ichi the Killer
Honourable mention: Versus

bwind22 04-29-2006 09:12 PM

SpiderMan
X2
Sin City
Die Hard
No Escape
Starship Troopers
Rumble in the Bronx
Way of the Gun
Young Guns
Tombstone
Carlitos Way
Scarface
Matrix
Star Wars Episode 5 Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars Episode 6 Return of the Jedi
Natural Born Killers
Kill Bill
Battle Royale
T2
Reservoir Dogs

Top 10 was too hard, plus some genres were marginal so I just listed my top 20. They're in no particular order. Some might not exactly be Action though.

There are so many...

I would add a lot like Leon: The Professional, 7 Deadly Sins, The Killer, Hard Boiled, Dirt Harry, Showdown in Little Tokyo, Big Trouble in Little China, Blade, The Mummy, Indiana Jones (any of them really) and plenty more that people would argue with (quality and some genre heh). Great picks though, has me craving an action flick now although I think I'll go with something older...
