Best Buy

The Best Buy by my house has an amazing selection of horror. Classics, Exploitation Films, Troma, Hard to find.

Does this vary by store (based on sales?)
or do most Best Buys have all these goodies?

Best Buy is nice for that odd movie you want. They put a lot of films out at sale prices that are way lower than most video outlets. They also stock a lot of "small" titles that you may not find elsewhere; they will have that MGM cheesy double-feature disc or that Paul Naschy film at very cheep prices.

Conversely, for certain cultish titles, they will mark the price up as high as anyone else will. So it's not all cheap; but picking through the shelves will usually turn up a few bargains.

2001 maniacs just arrived at the best buy nearest me. does anyone think that i should get it? how is the gore?

Despare 05-08-2006 08:42 AM

2001 Maniacs at our Best Buy was something like $21.99. They do that with a lot of stuff like Ong Bak, Pulse, a lot of the Tartan Extreme stuff. Way overpriced unless it's on sale.

the Toxie's Favorites or whatever 10 movie set is at my Best Buy for like $20

The Best Buy around here has a very good mix of everything. About 1/4 of the store(which isn't small by any means) is movies.

Oh yah, Best Buy rocks.

I've picked up some real gems there.

(Eraserhead, Cult Classics Box Set {$12.99!}, Zombi 2 {2 disc}, etc.)

I love Best Buy:D

We dont have one around here, but everytime I go to the states, which is usually every couple months or so, I always make sure to stop there. Im also a big fan of Suncoast. Their prices arent as good, but the horror selection is incredible.

I heard a lot of the Suncoasts were closing down? But I haven't gone to the local mall to check on that one.

Suncoast has those bargain racks with the weird obscure stuff few people know about, often very attractively priced.
