Poker players at HDC
I play a lot of poker. I know a few other people here do too so I was just wondering what online card rooms you guys play at. Over the past couple years, I've sampled a lot of them, but the only one I have a cash account at is Absolute Poker.
Anyone else here play there ever? |
I play at Hoyle. Its all virtual money and its free. It has all 4 popular variants of poker too - Hold em, Stud, Draw & Lowball.

I've played on alot of 'em, currently I'm at pokerroom. Most of the time I play poker it's live.
Don't think I've played at Absolute, if I have I obviously don't remember much about it. |
I love poker and have been playing for years. You can find me alot at holdempoker.com.

I don't play online. But I play.
Online poker just seems kinda lame (its like a slot machine). I prefer being round the table with real people. I've had some ghetto assed rounds of it that ended up being kinda intense. But I fucking love the game and I love the shit that comes out of people during a 3-4 hour game...... fun, snide remarks, boasting, and the inevitable people losing their temper all which can be worked into your gameplay. |

That's kinda how I feel about it. You bet, hope your card(s) hit, then either go hard with a good hand or bluff with little to no reading. The only reading that can really be done is on betting habits. |

Tells can be found in screen names, hometowns, avatars, conversation, length of time between actions, etc.... plus, like you said, betting patterns. Online poker is just a different version of the same game. Different version, different tells. *shrug* |

I'll agree with that because I've used the last three mentioned quite often myself(didn't cross my mind earlier), not avatars and screen names so much, but I can see how you could. But if you don't mind me asking, how the hell do you get anything out of a hometown? |
