The Devils Rejects

This movie, in my opinion, is one of the best horror movies I have seen for a very long time. The ending.... Oh, the fucking FANTASTIC ending! Ha ha! I have not been so gripped by an ending ever. Ever. Any other people with views on this?

i was put off it cause i didn't like house of a thousand corpses. is it anything like that? i mean in its style and atmosphere not story line

While house of a thousand corpses was unrealistic, had average performances and no character development, this is truly brutal, uncompromising and brilliantly acted. You really should see it.

i have heard a lot of good things so i'll get round to watching it eventually, but i still have to get through these recent purchases :- ichi the killer, vampires, the ghost, kairo, angelheart, audition, black xmas and a tale of two sisters. it may seem like quite a lot of movies not to have watched but every time there is a general consensus on this site that something is brilliant i have to buy it; also, i am awaiting the imminent arrival of pan's labyrinth

Devil's Rejects is more of an homage to the exploitation film.

70's exploitation is where it borrows from, there's even a scene that's done almost word for word like The Last House on the Left.

A lot of giallo films are exploitation. Some slashers/splater flicks and cannibal films like"CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST"!

Women in prison flicks;) and rape films like"I Spit on Your Grave".

Devils Rejects was pretty good, I had been suffering insomnia for a few days prior to watching it and managed to sleep after watching that night. But I had nightmare about captain Spalding.

Boundaries are pushed, standards are broken, techniques are formed. Exploitation usually has an extreme amount of offensive content- gore, sexual content, profanity, etc.

The Devil's Rejects is a fantastic film. Tony, it couldn't be less like House of 1000 Corpses (though I liked them both).
