If the river is not closed due to 'too much pig shit contamination' (yes this is a real treat around here)
We will be celebrating Friday the 13th at the Neuse river today and the place we are hangin looks just like a creepy camp!
The girls can't see the movies yet but scaring them with stories around the fire is IN:D

Spooky stories are 10 Xs scarier than any of the movies, because they're coming from the ones your kids trust most. Good on ya!:D Make 'em jump!

Oh and a little Fri 13th lore for ya...

On October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars — knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren — in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges was ever proven, even in France — and the Order was found innocent elsewhere — but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake.

Nice information there, Roderick. I have watched the first three Friday the 13ths, and The Final Chapter will start in a few minutes. Otherwise, it was a dull day here.

my mom was born on Friday the 13th, i guess that's why about 75% of the time she's a bitch. HA!

i am actually quite angry because there's not one channel on my tv that is playing anything remotely horror related (except Sci-Fi there's something weird on there). Spike tv always used to have a Jason marathon on Friday the 13th. it makes me sad.

I'll start on season 2 of "Masters of horror" tonight. :)

That was back before it was Spike TV, before it became all car shows and police chases.

I'll be out and about for most of the night, but I can watch horror movies whenever I want anyways.
