Wrong Turn 2: Dead End makes an impression

Last night I got to watch it...and I must say I was impressed.

Coming close on the heels of watching Zombie's let-down version of JC's masterpiece, Wrong Turn 2 is a real surprise. Most of you havent seen it yet so I wont spoil it...but let me say this much, this one goes one step beyond the original.

It has LOADS of atmosphere and plenty of decent gore...and the characterisation and direction is solid. It has a more than decent script...and the climax packs a real punch.

I definitely recommend it for the fans of the original...plus to those who liked The Hills Have Eyes and its recent remake.

Dont forget to get the popcorn!

Can you quantify at all how much it is better than the first? Perhaps a multiplication ratio (i.e. its 2 x Better, 4 x Better etc). That would be great if you could, thanks. :p

Wrong Turn was awesome so I was looking forward to this before the rave review. How'd you see it already?

Hmm did I say it was better than the first? Actually its "one step ahead of the original"...just like most good sequels (Halloween II, Saw II, etc.) are.

I d say its at par with the original. There are some sequences which are definitely unique and a BIG plus for Wrong Turn 2, and the climax is one which will stay with you for a while. All in all, its a better sequel.

Just wait till October. I gurantee you wont be disappointed. At all.;)

Sorry but I thought "one step ahead" meant you thought it was better than the first - huge apologies for that...

"All in all its a better sequel" - A better sequel than what? A better sequel than the sequel to Saw, Terminator, Ghostbusters?? What?

Or do you mean its a better MOVIE than the first? In which case, why did you say you didnt mean that? ;)

"It's on par" - That's enough information for me anyway. Thanks for the heads up. Am going to be able to dodge a bullet with that info. :)

Nope. "A better sequel" means one of the better sequels which has come about in recent times. (ala 28 Weeks Later, Saw II, etc.)
