For the last several years I have been a true melodic death metal fan, but I must say, I listened to the new Coheed & Cambria album a week ago and I was blown away.

The album is incredible.

That shit is cookie cutter pop metal

It may be pop metal, but it is far from cookie cutter. The guitar-work and singing is masterful. The lead singer could hang any day with any other guitar hero of the metal world.

I like 'em quite a bit myself. Don't really give a damn if something is ''real'' music or not, whatever the hell that means. If I like the way it sounds, I listen to it, simple as that.

I would have to say listening to music is a selfish act. For no other reason do we listen to music other than for our own pleasure. Unless of course you are dragged to a forsaken concert where the musicians are nothing but swashbucklers.

I really like Coheed.The singer has a very unique and entrancing voice, and the guitar playing is excellent.I like how they mold all there songs into one big story.I know there even have some books out there but I haven't been able to get my hands on them.
