Youtube downloading

A friend once showed me something he was on about, but I was pretty wasted at the time...apparently you can download/keep youtube videos using some application?
I figure if I'm going to be using my d/l limit to view 'em anyways...

I use this program: http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

It lets you convert them to whatever type of video file you prefer.

I downloaded some kind of greesemonkey thing to firefox and now under every youtube video I have the option "Download MP4".

I can't remember the name of it but if the above ones don't work I might be able to dig it up for you.
