New movies on VHS

Yes, I know I'm old fashioned.. I was wondering does anyone know if movie companies are still printing movies on VHS? If so where? I've tried Amazon but seems everything upcoming is DVD..I would like to buy Friday the 13th 2009 on VHS format... Le me know if anyone knows of a site that still sells upcoming movies on VHS..

Betamax wrapped up the contract for all of the big films 3 years ago.
Movie companies I thought abandoned the Betamax format in the mid 90s, even in that time it was hard to obtain new movies on that format..

I would think that movie companies are still printing on VHS but very little copies

But...why?
Collecting older/not released on dvd/obscure kind've films on vhs, I totally get...I do it myself. However, I cannot fathom how or why this is something you'd want to do with new films?

But here's a tip - if you need to, buy/hire the dvd, and like...tape it?

I prefer studio copies, anyone can rent a DVD and record it on any format

So what, you like the shape? The covers?
I like the covers.
I also like it when my ear itches, scratching it feels good.
I don't like it when my head itches though, you scratch that, and then it just feels too good and you scratch your head so much it hurts, in the balls.
what?

Over here tapes haven't been released of films since about 2005/6.

Seed Of Chucky was one of the last horror flicks to get a release on tape. I have it on DVD too but I hold onto the tape because it was one of the last genre releases on tape.

We only this year threw away/gave away the last of our VHS tapes. The wife and I had this huge box full of old gems, it was like looking through an old photo album seeing them again. But rewinding sucks, so.....

I really don't think they would waste any money in making anything new on vhs. That'd be dumb.

There's some great stuff out there on VHS I wouldn't write it off completely.

Ive got a load of good stuff on VHS (stored away somewhere in my folks house) but I wouldnt buy them over DVDs now.

Cant see stores wasting shopspace and money stocking these anymore. Your best bet would online shopping but pretty sure, like the others, nothing new has come out for a long time.
