Hot Fuzz? No way... I don't see that at all.

This list is stupid. That's all.

Giallo INFLUENCE. And by the way, on that count Psycho is definitely not valid. Psycho influenced Gialli. Not vice versa. Hot Fuzz has more splatstick influence than anything. Also remember that not all Italian crime films are Gialli. Mad Dog and Kidnapped for example don't fall into that category and these are closer to where the Dirty Harry saga is coming from.

OK, the Dirty Harry series is, admittedly, far more influenced by the other Italian crime genre, poliziotteschi. However, the villains, especially Scorpio from the first film, seem very giallo-esque to me.

As for Hot Fuzz, that's probably the least giallo film on the list, but the churchyard kill just screamed "giallo" to me.

And yes, I did mean giallo influence, since there is really no such thing as a non-Italian giallo. As for Psycho/Marnie/Mannequin in Red, I included those films as they, in my opinion, are influential enough to the giallo to warrant mention.

Add: Lust for Vengeance

There seems to be quite a bit of stretch for a lot of these films.

I think the Shark wore black leather gloves in Jaws 5.

A friend of mine made a joke similar to that one when we had a similar discussion a while back. Now, I admit, I may be exaggerating the "giallo"-ness of a few of these, but the influence of giallo on most of these films cannot be ignored.
