TV Turnoff Week

Today is the start of TV Turnoff week, turn off your TV's for a week and show who's really in charge.

No thanks. ;) I did turn my TV off when the shite Stephen King marathon was on Scifi the other day. I've yet to figure out how they could play movies by one of the best writers of all time, and still manage to not show shit worth watching.

Its not stopping me, I don't see why you wouldnt since your have already paid for movies and the like.

The Idea is from Adbusters.org and I guess they just decided it would be this week, they did National buy nothing day a while back which I participated in also.

If you can still watch movies, there hasnt been anything good on television in a while anyway. If we can make a political statement over it, all the better.

How old are you fred?

Targangil 04-19-2004 08:33 PM

Does this apply to all TV or just commercial TV? I mean, since Foyles War on ABC isn't selling anything can I watch it and still honour no TV week, or is it a blanket no TV week?
