HDC Chooses: Which *ONE* sensory perception would you lose, given the choice?
Senses are physiological capacities of organisms that provide data for perception. Human beings have a multitude of senses. Sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch are the five traditionally recognized and the only senses proven to to be existent in humans.
If you had to loose one, which one would it be? No, we are not taking the sixth sense into the equation here. |
I've actually thought about this quite a bit. I would choose hearing. To me, it would be so scary to lose my sight, not knowing what's going on around you. Although, if I lose my sense of smell/taste, maybe I would drop a few pounds!

I voted Taste. Being a musician, I need my ears to hear music. Being unable to see would just suck. I need touch for my instruments and I like the smell of women...lol...so yeah, taste is gone for me.

Smell even if it does effect my taste... I'd rather be able to see, hear and feel things.
If it was a choice between going deaf or blind I would pick being blind so I could have a normal conversation with people and listen to music still. |
I'd have to go with taste. As a musician and music lover, I would lose my mind if I couldn't hear anything. And as a filmmaker, I have to be able to see.
As much as I love food, I'd have to go with taste over anything else. |
I went with hearing. I watch TV and movies with the closed captioning on now anyways. I like to eat and if I got rid of smell then it would affect the taste of my tasty food. And we're always touching things. It would be weird to watch my fingers type on the keyboard and not be able to feel what I was doing.
