How do you think the world would change if religion was to be disproved and found only to be an extremely well told folklore that was added to as the years went by?

Breakdown of society?

Civil war between those who still believe and those who dont?

I personally am an athiest so really could care either way, but enjoy others opinions.

Absolute rufusal to believe, plus a witch hunt to destroy the evidence and those that made the dicovery. Religion requires faith, which is belief without proof.

Not to call anyone who is religious ignorant, but there are many that are much happier in ignorance, and will do anything to preserve it. Just look at Jimmy Swaggert....

Athiest? So you do not believe in anything? Or so you believe there is a "greater power" somewhere out there?

As for what would happen? This would never happen, so hard to say. There will always be people who believe in one thing or another, as people in general are too weak to survive without something like religion to "believe in"....

or something...

Atheist is an absolute lack of belief. if you believe in "something", but dont follow any major religion, then you are Agnostic.

I believe in ME, and science. When I die Im worm dirt. No happy ending, no pearly gates or pits of fire as the mainstream would have one believe.
