Great characters, some good scares and a cool villain. It's not especially scary since it's mostly the same scare (lights off, monster appears), but there are some that work pretty well. The family dynamic in the movie reminded me of The Babadook which was great. The opening scene was amazing too. They also didn't go overboard with the backstory which was something I was worried about. They kept it short and to the point. |
