Totally agree on Backbone. Nicely shot, realy good cinematography, sound, very competent presetation of the story. I just didn't find it worthwhile... in that I found the story rather bland., slightly boring, not scary, barely suspenseful in a few spots, and a generally unimportant and unemotional story. I had a hard time caring both times I saw it.
I hadn't noticed the music issue. I really liked Guillermo's Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboys & Pacific Rim, but Mimic was a mess.

I enjoyed The Possession of Michael King and while it was rather pedestrian, it did make think twice about certain things .
