I only ask because, good grief, the opening car chase is a long, long, long segment... I actually wondered if it was going to take up the entire film length. And I did not like that choice.
However, after the long chase, it does root it self, just enough, to work. The mix of real stunts with the CG stunts it's incredibly seamless, almost perfect. It's impressive.
After being a bit annoyed the first 30 or so minutes (I was watching with quite a few family members, and didn't want bail/interrupt), I started to settle in, and enjoy it for what it was. It was pretty much nonstop action, swearing, vulgarity, one-liners, tongue-in-check sentiment. It's almost more of a test, practice film, like what you could add to a film with a story.

I honestly gave up halfway through. I’ve gotten too old for braindead noisy action. Never gonna be a Bay fan.
