$1000 is a start but it will barely help the people who don't have large savings. Not to really get into politics but it's funny how fast Republicans when they get into power want to give money back to people who are very well off. I'm talking people who have money for multiple generations. And even give them tax cuts when they aren't even needed. Then when we really need that surplus money and lost income, we have to plunge ourselves deeper into debt as a country.

It's happened twice if not three times now that I've seen. I drove past so many small restaurants and food places today that were closed if not completely empty. People who work at places like that need more than $1000 to cover rent and expenses if people are talking July or August for things to get back to some kind of normal everyday life. It's just funny how people are talking about socialism being bad and here we are. Even though we do have something called Social Security but I guess that flies over the head of some.

Also the longer we wait to fully shut down, the longer it will take to recover.
