I know what happened.
The moose got pised of at their bobbing head dog in the back seat, and ran after the car. When they pulled up, the moose superman'd it through the back window, taking both itself and the bobbing head dog out at the same time...of course, when the driver and passenger heard this, they must've been so shocked that they jumped straight up, cartoon cat style..explaining the front end.
