I agree with that to point. I do very well at my job. I am not trying to brag but I probably do it better than 99% of the people that I work with.
The problem is, and no one tells you this shit in school, is that the guy next to you who does a shitty job gets paid the same as you do. Lets not forget about the nepotism that goes on either. And whoever blows the boss gets ahead. Yes this happens in the blue collar world too.
I have also found that when you are good at your job and make a mistake, and everybody does, management wonders what the fuck is your problem. Do a shitty job everyday and no one will expect anything more from you.
I have learned that I do the job to the best of my abilities and until I am satisfied with the work that I have done. As long as I did the work honestly that is all I care about.
There is alot of shady characters in the auto repair business, and very few that are truly qualified. Think about that the next time you take your car in to get it fixed.
As for school, I went to school with a bunch of spoiled brat elitists. Everybody had their own little groups. Myself and the rest of the kids from the wrong side of the tracks and everybody else. I wish that I could say that I enjoyed school, but I cant.
As far as I know most of folks from my graduating class havent got as far in life as I have or done half the things that I have done so all I can say about that is FUCK THEM.
Do things for yourself and the people you care about and fuck everybody else.
