Computer Problems...

UnrequitedNarcis: ok. My computer won't work. It stops while loading and says something about a corrupt file
UnrequitedNarcis: my friend told me to use a boot disk, which I did and can get to a screen that says a:\
UnrequitedNarcis: he told me to type d:\ e:\ cd e:\ cd d:\ but nothing would work. That's all he could think of
UnrequitedNarcis: any ideas?
So... yeah. Any ideas on how I can get to E:\ or D:\ because he told me I should be able to. I need to get this POS computer working.
