Family Portraits: A Trilogy of America
For those who don't know, this is a collection of short films by Douglas Buck, and includes the infamous "Cutting Moments." Which is, by the way, quite possibly the most disturbing film I've ever seen. I've seen plenty of sick movies, but I think this is the first time I've ever actually turned my face away and wanted the movie to stop. The violence is not particularly graphic, but it's presented in such an offhand, casual way that it's really hard to take. I don't think I can rate this film right now, I'm still trying to digest it.
