Last Woman on Earth
Ive been working my way through the "50 Horror Classics" boxset for quite some time. I decided to start with Last Man on Earth as soon as I got the box, then finish with Last Woman on Earth once Id watched to other 49. Today was the end of that era, I finally watched Last Woman on Earth, and though it wasnt amazing or anything, it was still worth the wait. The actors dont give the best performances, but they definatly have their moments. Even though he is portrayed as the "bad guy", I really liked and felt sorry for Antony Carbone's character. Robert Towne didnt write the greatest script for this, but his character was pretty well acted. As for the "last woman" herself, she was beautiful and farly talented. The plot was nothing new and drug in places, but it held my interest for the most part. Despite popular opinion, I really liked the ending, one of the highlights of the film. All in all I recomend checking this out. Not alot of action, but it's usually interesting.

I have the 50 Classics boxset too and I'm currently working my way through it. I decided to start with the oldest films and work forward to the most modern. Kinda like my own personal evolution of the classic horror film kinda study or somethin. Anyways between my Netflix and planning a wedding Ive been pretty busy so I've only gotten through about the first 6 or 7 films on there so far. (Pretty much all the silent ones + White Zombie)
My favorite silent film was Hunchback. I thought it was hilarious. I cant wait until I have time to get to the rest of them though. I've seen a few that I know are good (Last Man on Earth, NotLD) but the rest I am eager to get to.
Once I do, my mini reviews will be posted here. (But if you have interest in reading any of the mini reviews I already wrote for the ones I watched, click the link in my sig.)
