Another hint....the girl who played one of the victims (a redhead) also played a corpse in a Clint Eastwood cop drama, had her own crime TV series, and starred in a cult zombie movie.
And another...the guy who starred in it is a regular in Brian DePalma flicks.
One more...Richard Laymon shamelessly ripped it off in his screenplay included in the anthology Screamplays. Fangoria even mentioned the similarities in its review of the book.
